Internet Debate About Mumbai & Bangalore Rickshaws

Recently, the Internet was rent in two when somebody made a controversial post on X, formerly Twitter, about the difference between Bengaluru and Mumbai Auto drivers. The post stated that despite being the financial capital, hardly any auto or taxi driver accepts UPI payments.

Whereas in Bengaluru, the post went on to point out, that every auto driver has at least three different QR codes that the passenger can scan. This post sparked a debate on the micro-blogging website with many commenters pointing out that Bengaluru auto drivers don’t even use the metre.

Some said that sabzi wallahs and vendors accept UPI payments and most young drivers do. Since older folks struggle with technology, they refrain from using it.
