The seven sisters of North East are Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura. We are gonna mention some of the serene and un-popular wildlife sanctuaries of north northeast. Buckle up for great safaris for 2024, it’s gonna be a roaring one!

1. Namdapha National Park, Arunachal Pradesh

2. Orang National Park, Assam

Want to skip the evergreen Kaziranga Park? Come to Mini Kaziranga, Orang National Park. its uncanny resemblance to Kaziranga Park with such lush grasslands, pristine streams and more makes it a mini version. Just like Kaziranga Park, Orang also is boastful of housing one-horned rhinos along with Royal Bengal tigers. It is situated on the northern banks of the Brahmaputra River which makes it a perfect spot for beautiful scenery.

3. Balpakram National Park, Meghalaya

It is situated near Garo Hills in Meghalaya at an elevation of 3000 m. Have you ever heard about a barking deer? Dogs bark, right but here you will find a barking deer among wild water buffalos, tigers, golden cats, marbled cats, elephants, and red panda. Do you remember you were taught about a special plant called pitcher plant, you will also get to see it here. If you explore nicely you will be able to find Deoban Wari. Looks like this wildlife sanctuary has many unseen and interesting stuff.

4. Keibul Lamjao National Park, Manipur

6. Ntangki National Park, Nagaland

It is 200 sq. km situated in Peren District where the wild buffaloes and hoolok gibbon are found. These are only found in Nagaland. It is a thick rainforest as it is located in the low-rainfall regions of Nagaland. The hick rainforest opens up a perfect opportunity for many flora and fauna. You can spot sloth bears, wild dogs and flying squirrels while some of the trees are Elaeocarpus ganitrus and Shorea assamica.

7. Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary, Tripura
