According to an article that was recently published by the Hindustan Times or HT, on the night of Friday, January 24, 2025, a comprehensive mega block of 9.5 hours will commence. The block will be between Bandra and Mahim and will necessitate service modifications.

Six key stations will experience service interruptions. These are Mahalaxmi, Lower Parel, Prabhadevi, Matunga Road, Mahim, and Khar Road. WR will undertake the replacement and reinforcement of a British-era bridge over the Mithi River.

This will result in the cancellation of 127 train services on 24-25 January and 150 services on 25-26 January. Evening and night-time services will be significantly altered. The final Churchgate to Borivali train will depart at 1 am.

Trains from Virar, Nallasopara, Vasai Road, Bhayandar, and Borivali terminate at Andheri. Normal services will gradually resume, with the first fast train to Churchgate departing Virar at 5:47 am. Simultaneously, Central Railway or CR will conduct a six-hour block on Saturday night for the new Carnac Bridge project.
