Very soon Dubai residents will have a brand new area to explore in the city. The Dubai harbour- which is currently under construction will see the light of day in 2020. The new harbour is built in front of Al Sufouh beachfront and will be open to the public just in time for Expo 2020. The idea was first announced back in 2017.
What’s It?
Dubai’s popular construction company Meraas will soon unveil the grand Dubai harbour. Docked right next to the Palm Jumeirah on one side and Skydive Dubai and Dubai Marina on the other, the harbour has the capacity to dock over 1,100 boats and is also decked with other entertainment.
Adding grandeur to its existing landscape, Palm Jumeirah will soon have a harbour featuring three bays- Harbour Marina, Bay Marina, and Palm View Marina. The harbour will be the heart of marina, featuring shops, restaurants, cafés, luxury residences and hotels.
Meanwhile, superyacht owners have a little more to be happy about! Bay marina will have a 180-berth super yacht facility, exclusive yacht club and a helipad with two landing platforms.
Buggy service, fuel pumps, specialized parking lots and marine storage are also part of the deal. Speaking when the project was announced, H.H Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai said, “Our region has had a long and historic relationship with the sea, and today we are seeing another initiative inspired by this age-old tradition that opens up new horizons for development. We have great aspirations for the tourism sector, which is one of the main pillars of our economic development and an important source of national income.”

While 2018 saw the world’s first floating hotel, Dubai frame, Warner Bros and a few more, 2020 also has an impressive list. From a zombie theme park to a massive library and London’s famous wax museum, here are new attractions in the UAE you must look forward to.
1. Zombie Theme Park
One of the most awaited attractions in the UAE, this one’s a treat for Zombie lovers. Nakheel Malls in association with Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club is launching a spooky Zombie theme park in Deira Islands. Spread across 65,000 sq feet, the park will boast several attractions including paintball games, 9D cinema, axe throw games, laser tag and more. And that’s not all! The park also has live act featuring Zombies that glow-in-the-dark. Now, that’s perfect enough to get spooked, isn’t it? The park also features shops, a private party room, and a zombie themed restaurant.

2. The View at The Palm
The Palm Towers in Dubai will soon let you swim in the sky! Wondering how? The city’s highest roof-top infinity pool is coming to The View at the Palm and its for everyone who fancy swimming with a view. The pool will hold over 930,000 liters of water. Apart from the breath-taking pool the tower will also feature restaurants, residences, and a viewing deck for the public.
