A New In-Flight Wi-Fi Feature On Etihad Will Let Passengers Stay Connected To Their Loved Ones!

However, this is now going to change for Etihad passengers, as the airline is launching new packages called Wi-Fly Chat and Surf. This will let you be in touch with your loved ones during your flight. Here’s all you need to know about this new exciting feature.

Etihad Airways has planned to launch a new package called Wi-Fly Chat and Surf. According to a news report by Khaleej Times, this makes it easier for passengers to stay connected and even chat with their loved ones. Not to mention, this package also allows them to browse the web while they are still in the carrier! It’s worth mentioning that guests who are flying with Etihad will also benefit from this complimentary ‘Chat’ messaging during the entirety of the flight by signing in with their ‘Etihad Guest Membership’. As it happens, they can also do so by enrolling online before flying to benefit immediately. Moreover, passengers will also be able to access popular messaging apps, like WhatsApp, Messenger, and WeChat through the Free Chat feature.

Talking more about the available feature, passengers on board, who wish to surf, browse through their social media, or even work while they fly can purchase Surf Wi-Fly plans that are available for a flat fee with unlimited data through the duration of the flight. The packages are as follows –

• For seven hours, the Chat Package is priced at USD2.99 while it is free for Etihad Guest Members.
• For seven hours, the Surf Package is priced at USD9.99.
• Flights from over seven hours will have Chat Package priced at USD4.99, but it is free for Etihad Guest Members.
• The Surf Package for over seven hours is priced at USD19.99.

However, it’s worth noting that guests who are flying first class will benefit from complementary Surf Wi-Fly access throughout the duration of the flight. Moreover, Etihad Guest Gold Members will receive a discount of flat 25% on the Surf Package. These features have been made possible as the wide-body fleet of Etihad Airways has been fitted with the technology that supports these services.
