According to the X post, the e-gates were not functioning during the morning hours. Also, there were no announcements. Despite passengers facing inconveniences, staff was seen hanging around and having conversations. While people waited inside the airport premises, many passengers were standing outside, that too when it was raining.

The concerned authorities arranged for emergency services to evacuate Terminal 2 on Friday morning. They had to conduct this activity as a precautionary measure. Angry and confused passengers took to social media platforms to share these miserable experiences and rant about the airport. Pictures and videos show crowds in a state of panic and without any definite information.

It did not take a lot of time for people present there to know about the suspicious package. According to a report by Daily Record, the airport authorities had to contact a bomb squad because of this package. This was the primary reason behind passengers being evacuated from Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 2.
