Bonjour, merci, au revoir and oui are some of the common words that may come to your mind when we talk about French. Politician Aaditya Thackeray knows a lot more than these French words. He might show off his French-speaking skills if you are completely oblivious to this language! Our Editor-in-Chief Kamiya Jani, was almost an easy target for him at this special Sunday Brunch episode.

Aaditya Thackeray Pursued French In His School

Aaditya has a passion for learning new things and picking up new hobbies. The conversation shifted to languages and we were curious to know what languages he was fluent in. We discovered that he is fluent in Hindi, English and Marathi languages and was tutored in Hindi.

He highlighted that his grandfather, the late Bal Thackeray, insisted that one should be able to converse flawlessly in their mother tongue and after that Hindi and English as well. Next, he shared that he took French during his 11th & 12th school days and his grandfather pushed him to pursue this further.

“He (Bal Thackeray) was keen that people must know as much as they can, especially languages,” Aaditya told us. He also shared that this notion stems from the fact that his grandfather used to be a great orator and a communicator. Sometimes, even he would get influenced by his grandfather’s fantastic oratory skills!
