AB de Villiers Thinks Ranveer Singh Will Enjoy South Africa; Shares Experiences Of Meeting Him

The all-rounder, South African cricketer, AB de Villiers, joined Mashable India’s Siddhaarth Aalambayan for this incredible episode of Sunday Brunch. We were at a fabulous outlet of The Sassy Spoon in Mumbai to engage in fun conversation, gorge on delicious food and make memories. During a fun rapid-fire game, we learned that he wanted Ranveer Singh to visit South Africa for the SA20s! Read on to know more.

AB de Villiers Would Like To Invite Ranveer Singh To South Africa

Do you know cricketer AB de Villiers and actor Ranveer Singh are close friends? Well, de Villiers revealed his experience of meeting the latter. Siddhaarth put up a question for the South African cricketer, “If you had to invite somebody special for the SA20, any Bollywood celebrities, who would you like to have to watch your game?”

de Villiers announced that he would love to have Ranveer Singh onboard for the SA20s. He shared that they have met a handful of times and each time, it was a memorable interaction. The cricketer recalled how energetic, enthusiastic and full of life Ranveer was. He is the life of the party on every occasion! Hence, he would love to have Ranveer in South Africa.

They Danced Together?

Continuing on Ranveer, AB shared that they had a project where they were assigned a dancing scene. Dancing isn’t AB’s forte, so he told the actor that this activity is completely out of his comfort zone. On hearing this, Ranveer directed, assisted and encouraged AB in learning dance steps.

de Villiers commented, “He sort of guided me through it, helped me and kept telling me ‘you are doing a great job,’ even though I think he was lying to me, it made me feel better about myself.” The cricketer concluded by mentioning how great Ranveer is, again, and believing that he would truly be mesmerised by the beauty of South Africa even though he has visited Cape Town. We loved to hear about it all, de Villiers.
