Abu Dhabi-ites are in for a treat, as Wizz Air Abu Dhabi is all set to commence flights to Alexandria, Egypt from February 22. The low-cost airline which is already flying to Athens, Tel Aviv, is now set to fly to Egypt with one-way fares starting from AED 179 only. Here’s everything you must know.

You Can Now Book Tickets For Alexandria From Wizz Air’s Website
UAE will fly to Egypt’s second city thrice a week. Services between the UAE and Alexandria will be operated on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Tickets for the same are available on www.wizzair.com and Wizz Air’s mobile app. Speaking about the launch of this new route, Kees van Schaick, managing director of Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, said,
“Alexandria is an exciting destination steeped in history located on Mediterranean waters. The UAE and Egypt provide a popular travel corridor for residents and tourists in the region, and we are committed to providing options that are more viable and affordable for travellers.”

All Travellers Including Egyptian Nationals Have To Present A Negative Covid-19 PCR Test Before Boarding The Flight
Alexandria is one of the most beautiful and picturesque cities in Egypt. It is known for its ancientness, as the site of the Pharos, the great lighthouse is considered one of the seven wonders of the ancient world as well as the ruins of the Temple of Serapis. For travelling to Alexandria, all passengers including Egyptian nationals will have to carry a printed negative Covid‑19 PCR test certificate from an accredited lab in English or Arabic. The covid-19 test needs to be taken 72 hours within boarding the flight to Egypt.
