For six action-packed days in December 2025, the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) will transform into a playground for the future. Top athletes from all corners of the world will be here, battling it out in hybrid competitions where football meets futuristic tech and shooting games get a digital twist. 

The first edition in Türkiye earlier this year pulled in over 2,000 athletes from 100 countries, and over 300,000 fans glued to the action. The UAE is quite renowned for pushing limits in terms of innovation, and now hosting this tournament is going to bring a big change in terms of global tech and sports. 

Phygital Fun Coming To Schools Too

Here’s where it gets even better. Al Taher revealed plans to roll out the whole phygital vibe in schools across the country. That means your little cousins, siblings, maybe even you, will get to experience esports blended with real-life sports as part of day-to-day learning. It’s all in line with the UAE’s bigger digital education vision, making sure the next generation knows their way around both a football pitch and a gaming controller.

Nis Hatt, CEO of Phygital International, said choosing Abu Dhabi for the 2025 edition was quite simple, given the world-class venues and a proven track record in pulling off mega events. We’re talking Aspire and Ethara teaming up,  two powerhouses known for handling world-class shows and sporting spectacles across the Emirates.
