1. Dubai RTA Announces Return Of Electric Abra Service

The Dubai Roads & Transport Authority announced tourist electric abra service has been restored. Yes, this has returned at Al Mamzar Station. It would give residents and visitors a great way to explore the newest leisure destinations in the city. This service had been paused due to development works in the area.

2. Dates For 20th Edition Of The Al Dhafra Festival

The dates for the 20th edition of the Al Dhafra Festival have been revealed. This has been held under the patronage of the President of the State. The event will be returning on October 27th, 2026 and will be running until January 12th in Abu Dhabi. This fiesta is being organised by Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority. It features five stations, and there are prizes with a total value exceeding AED97 million.

3. Sheikh Zayed Summer Festival Is Running Until August 23rd

Sheikh Zayed Summer Festival is taking place in Al Wathba Region. This will be taking place until August 23rd, 2026. It offers over 3,000 activities and workshops. And it is perfect for children aged 6-18 years, thereby strengthening national identity and talent development.\

4. AI System Launched To Improve Bus Readiness

To manage and operate buses more efficiently, Dubai Roads & Transport Authority has launched an AI-supported system. The system monitors over 1,100 buses, and it supports 26 different operational scenarios. It would also help to improve operational flexibility and the ability of buses to respond to the changes that affect other public transport services.

5. SalamAir Launches Flights To Indonesia

SalamAir is a low-cost airline in Oman, and the airline has launched its inaugural direct flights between Muscat and Medan. This marks the first-ever scheduled service to Indonesia. The new route would strengthen tourism, cultural and economic ties between the two countries.
