Etihad Airways has announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Africa World Airlines. This establishes their strategic partnership that would span code-share and interline cooperation. It would also include cargo collaboration and frequent flyer programmes. The agreement would connect the networks and, as a result, guests of the airlines would be able to travel seamlessly on a single ticket.
3. Sheikh Hamdan Announces AED1 Billion To Support Heritage
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is the Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, has allocated AED1 billion to participants of the Dubai Date Festival. Yes, this is to recognise the role in preservation and promotion of the UAE’s national heritage. The grant would honour date farmers, producers, and exhibitors whose participation has helped in safeguarding the oldest agricultural traditions of the country.
4. Al Dhaid Date Festival Showcase National Food Factory
Al Dhaid Date Festival, which is happening in Sharjah, has showcased a new National Food Factory project. This project aims to strengthen food security and support local farmers. It should be noted that it is being developed by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Not to mention, it is located in the Hamda area of Mleiha and is being designed in such a way that it expands the Emirates agri-industrial sector.
5. ONE Championship Returns To Qatar
ONE Championship, which is the world’s largest martial arts organisation, is returning to Qatar in March 2027.
