1. Oman Prepares Against Heavy Rain And Flash Flood Risk

The low-pressure system is passing over Oman between March 20 and 30, issuing a nationwide alert by the Civil Aviation Authority. Pouring rain, thunderstorms, severe winds, and even hail are likely to land in certain regions, as stated by ZAWYA.

The officials have issued a high-risk level of flash floods, particularly in the wadis. Bad seas may also occur on the coast. People are being advised to be vigilant, not venture into flood-prone areas and monitor the official information.

2. Cathay Pacific Extends Suspension Of Dubai Flight

Due to the tensions prevailing in the region, Cathay Pacific has cancelled flights to Dubai and Riyadh till April 30. According to The National, the airline is providing flexibility to the affected passengers.

There is no additional fee for travellers rebooking, rerouting or requesting a refund. The waiver is applicable to the booking that is done until May 31. The agents who made their bookings are urged to call them.

3. Saudi Sees Eid Travel Boom as Locals Choose Domestic Getaways

This Eid, more people are staying closer to home. Data from Wego shows a clear rise in domestic travel across Saudi Arabia, as reported by Travel Daily News.

Cities like Jeddah and heritage hotspots such as AlUla are drawing crowds. Cooler destinations like Abha and Taif are also in demand. The trend points to shorter, easy getaways with a mix of nature, culture, and comfort.

4. India Embassy Doha Assists 1,600 To Evacuate via Qatar Airways

There is also the arrangement of transit visas by the Saudi land borders for those who want to take alternative routes. The embassy also provides support services such as consular assistance and the provision of necessary goods to the affected communities.
