In a recent episode of Tere Gully Mein, we took Sufi Motiwala to try out the viral food combos at Mumbai’s Ghatkopar Khaugalli. He is a fashion critic known for his sassy style of reviewing and rating celebrity outfits. His sarcastic take on people’s fashion choices is something you can love or hate, but you definitely can’t ignore it. Famous for his witty and unapologetic commentary, this time we invited him to review some of the weirdest food combos. And just like his fashion critiques, he didn’t spare the viral food at Khaugalli. He even rated Bombay’s iconic Breadless Sandwich and gave it a hilarious review in his signature style. Read on to find out what he said.
Sufi Motiwala Reviews The Breadless Sandwich
This Breadless Sandwich is made entirely with vegetables, an attempt to cheat the use of bread and make it somewhat healthy. The base is made using boiled potatoes, topped with tomatoes, onions, beetroot, and a few other veggies, and then loaded with lots of cheese. After hearing how it’s made, Sufi Motiwala shared that if someone wants to eat salad, then why not just make a bowl of it? Why is there a need to experiment with a sandwich?
Pleasing Sufi Motiwala is no easy task, whether it’s fashion or food. He barely liked any dish at the Khaugalli and was hesitant to even try the Breadless Sandwich at first. But as soon as he took a bite, he initially kind of liked it until one ingredient completely ruined it for him. It was a tomato! Sufi hates tomatoes and quietly found a corner to spit the sandwich out. After coming back, he said, “Nobody saw that, it’s gonna get cut.” Truly, he is entertaining to watch.
When asked to rate the Breadless Sandwich, he gave a proper explanation. He appreciated the fact that the sandwich was made with healthy veggies, but strongly believed that street food isn’t meant to be healthy. ”Hum is road pe vegetable khane nahi aaye hain,” he said.
Secondly, he believes that every dish should have a home to fulfil itself. ‘’Jaise chawal, bread, roti, chicken… base jisse hamare body ko kuch mile.’’ He found the dish really empty and rated the Breadless Sandwich a 4/10.

Sufi Tries A Paan Milkshake!
After the Breadless Sandwich, we took Sufi Motiwala to try another weird food combo — a Paan Milkshake. Although Sufi is allergic to paan, he was still curious to see what kind of paan they were going to serve. He said, “I’ve seen all these baraf paan, aag paan, toofan paan, and all of that.” But what was coming for him was not an ordinary paan; it was a milkshake made from paan. As soon as he heard that, he was all set to leave.
