Here’s The Rajma Chawal Recipe

Dehradun Special Rajma Chawal

Ingredients:

  • Mustard oil
  • Cumin seeds
  • Chopped onions
  • Curry leaves
  • Hing
  • Ginger, garlic, and green chilli paste
  • Tomato puree mixed with green chilli paste
  • Cumin powder
  • Coriander powder
  • Turmeric powder
  • Pink rock salt
  • Boiled rajma
  • Water

Recipe:

  • Pour mustard oil into a pan and temper cumin seeds.
  • Fry chopped onions and curry leaves till they turn a bit brown.
  • Next, add hing to the pan.
  • After some time, add a paste of ginger, garlic, and green chillies.
  • Stir all ingredients for some time and add tomato puree mixed with green chilli paste.
  • Cook the rich gravy for a few minutes and sprinkle cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and pink rock salt.
  • Once you see oil on the pan, add soaked and boiled rajma and water.
  • Cook till the rajma softens and relish delectable Dehradun’s special rajma.

  • For rice, wash rice, add it to a pot of water, and let it boil. Cook till the rice is softened.
