We have come across many instances where passengers complain about being harassed by airport security. A similar incident took place with an actor in the South. Actor Siddharth from Rang De Basanti shared his recent airport experience on his social media account. He alleges that he and his senior parents were harassed at Tamil Nadu’s Madurai airport.

Actor Siddharth Alleges His Parents Were Harassed

Actor Siddharth posted a picture of Tamil Nadu’s Madurai Airport on his Instagram story. He then shared the details of his experience at the airport. Both his parents and he were harassed by the security personnel. They were harassed for 20 straight minutes at the airport, he stated.

His senior parents were asked to remove coins from the bags. He also mentioned that even after repeatedly asking the security personnel to talk in English, they continued talking in Hindi. The actor was very disappointed and accidentally tagged CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) instead of CISF (Central Industrial Security Force).

Caught in The Saina Nehwal Controversy

Actor Siddharth has worked in many Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil movies. He was most recently seen in Escaype, a Disney + Hotstar web series. The series starred Jaaved Jaaferi and was built around the dark side of social media.

This year, the actor was caught in a controversy over a tweet. In January, the actor replied to a tweet by Saina Nehwal in connection with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s security breach. He was booked by the cybercrime wing of the Hyderabad Police under IPC Section 509. He later wrote an apology for the same, admitting that he could not justify his tone and words.
