S Lakshmikumari used to eat fried rice quite often and as usual, her Friday dinner also included the dish. But a couple of hours after finishing the meal, she started facing health issues such as nose bleeding. Seeing her in that state, her parents quickly took her to a private hospital. From there, the family was asked to take the kid to the Salem Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College and Hospital.

Before the doctors could treat her at the government hospital, unfortunately, things were too late by then. According to a report by The Times of India, she was declared dead at about 12:30 AM.
