The airline’s hub is in Bengaluru, and it runs about 700 flights every day. A spokesperson for Akasa Air said in a statement that, as they have previously mentioned, they were obliged to cancel a number of flights in the period between July and August 2023 when a small group of pilots abandoned their duties and left the organization without completing their required contractual notice period.

As they did for the first 11 months of their operation, they have since streamlined their network to guarantee that they continue to provide their consumers with the highest levels of operational reliability.

They are now firmly back in growth mode thanks to their advanced pilot planning and training programs, and as they take delivery of several more aircraft in the remaining months of this fiscal year, they look forward to opening up a number of domestic and international destinations within the fiscal year 2023–2024.

They mentioned that they continue to be financially stable and growth-focused. All of their efforts are directed towards building a long-lasting and dependable airline, and they continue to be on track to rank among the top airlines in the world by the end of this decade. (As per Live Mint)

Following the resignation of multiple pilots, the airline, which launched its first commercial flight between Mumbai and Ahmedabad on August 7, 2022, has encountered difficulties. It informed the court that they might have to cancel a significant number of flights in September because of the resignations.

A spokesperson for Akasa Air stated in a previous statement that the airline sector has long struggled with a pilot shortage and that, as a team of planners, they are ready for unanticipated events and have contingency management plans in place.

Earlier, the airline claimed that due to the pilots’ activities, the general public had experienced a great deal of trouble and discomfort due to multiple instances of last-minute flight cancellations, delays, and changes.

In accordance with the Civil Aviation Requirement, SNV Aviation Private Limited, which operates under the name Akasa Air, has asked the DGCA for permission to coerce pilots who violate the statutory notice period criteria. (As per Live Mint)
