It is situated approximately 20 kilometres from the Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR). The expressway is poised to serve as a vital connector to mega-projects. Projects like the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, thereby enhancing Dholera’s growth prospects.
Implications For Regional Development And Connectivity
The completion of the Ahmedabad-Rajkot Highway six-laning and the development of the Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway is set to revolutionise regional connectivity. These projects are integral components of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC).
It aimed at bolstering infrastructure, enhancing sustainability, driving economic growth, and promoting industrial development in Gujarat. The expressway is expected to significantly reduce travel time between Ahmedabad and Dholera to approximately 40-45 minutes, thereby making the commute more efficient.
These infrastructure advancements are anticipated to attract investments, boost economic activities, and improve the overall quality of life for residents by providing efficient and sustainable transportation options. As Gujarat continues to invest in such transformative projects, the state reinforces its position as a leading hub for industrial and economic development in India.
