Air Arabia Begins Flights To Athens From Sharjah Four Times A Week; Things To Do There

With the summer vacations nearly here, chances are that you are planning to take a vacation. While everybody has mostly planned the destinations where they plan to take a holiday, there are some who are still thinking of places where they can take a vacation with their friends and families. And just in time for the holiday season, Air Arabia has announced that it has begun flight services to the Greek capital, Athens.

Air Arabia Starts Flights To Athens

Announced by Sharjah Airport Authority, the Greek capital Athens will now be directly connected via Air Arabia. Yes, the passengers will be able to travel to this newest destination on the airline’s network four times a week. Yes, the new route, as revealed by the Khaleej Times will be serviced on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays. However, it’s worth noting that there are plans to increase the number of flights in the future.

Why Visit Athens?

It’s worth noting that the inaugural flight ceremony was attended by the Chairman of Sharjah Airport, Ali Salim Al Midfa amongst other notable personalities from the Sharjah Airport Authority and Air Arabia. However, if you are also wondering about all the things you can do in the Greek capital, then you are in for a treat. It’s not just a place with ancient historical sites that are worth visiting, but also has several happening hotspots that every tourist must check out.

Places To See In Athens

Yes, besides the world-famous Acropolis and Parthenon, you must also check out the beautiful marina and beaches in the city. Not to mention, the seafood over here is also a must-try. Since it’s located by the agency, it’s hardly surprising that the fresh seafood cooked in flavourful sauces is certainly a must-have for non-vegetarians. In fact, there are several places for people to shop as the capital city is home to some really cool international and homegrown brands.

In fact, recently Air Arabia also launched direct flights to Krakow in Poland. The plan is to increase the number of flights for this international city as well in the near future.
