Air India Express is a subsidiary of Air India which is committed to providing cmfortablle in-flight experiences to its passengers. Recently, the airline has announced that they will be adding another route to the list! From Jan 16, Air India Express will start direct flights from Gwalior to Delhi and Bengaluru.
Air India Express To Start Direct Flights From Gwalior
The announcement was made by Air India Express, which states that as of January 16th, new routes will operate from Gwalior to two important cities: Delhi and Bengaluru. On these routes, the airline will run direct flights every day, greatly enhancing connectivity to and from Gwalior. This occurred fewer than a month after the airline began flying from the city to Hyderabad directly.
On January 16, 2024, at 05:10 hours, IX 1590, the first flight on the Bengaluru-Gwalior route, will take off and arrive in Gwalior at 07:45 hours. On the same date, IX 1592, the return flight, will take off from Gwalior at 15:35 hours and land in Bengaluru at 18:10 hours. Moreover, on the Gwalior-Delhi route, IX 1590 will take off from Gwalior at 08:15 hours and land in Delhi at 09:20 hours. From Delhi, IX 1592 will take off at 13:35 hours and land in Gwalior at 15:00 hours.
According to Air India Express CCO, Ankur Garg, their mission at Air India Express is to strengthen New India’s connectivity. With an emphasis on their strong tier 2 and tier 3 cities. This promise is symbolised by the start of services from Gwalior to Bengaluru and New Delhi.

Connecting The City With 21 Important Spots
In addition to these direct flights, they are connecting Gwalior to 21 important locations via easy one-stop routes that pass through Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and New Delhi. Additionally, the flight from New Delhi to Gwalior provides easy access for the residents of Gwalior to the city of Ayodhya.
The airline has made available reservations via its website and award-winning mobile app, as well as through other key booking platforms, the timetable for daily non-stop flights between Gwalior, Delhi, and Bengaluru.
Air India Express makes travel easy by offering 344 weekly flights from Bengaluru that connect the city to 22 cities directly. The airline also operates 259 weekly flights, offering direct connection from Delhi to 17 destinations. AIX connects 12 direct destinations with 108 weekly departures from Hyderabad.
Air India Express declared on December 20 that it would start operating out of Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, which would be its 45th station. Recently, on the day when the Surat International Airport opened its new international terminal, AIXL also made history by being the first airline to run a direct route from Surat to Dubai.
