Air India Opens Evacuation Flight Bookings To Select International Destinations

Good news for those stuck in India & who wish to fly out of the country. India’s national carrier, Air India, has opened bookings for select international destinations. The evacuation flights will operate from May 8 to May 14.

Air India Has Opened Bookings For Outbound Repatriation Flights

As per a recent statement from the airline, all those who wish to travel from India to London, Singapore and select destinations in the United States, can start booking on the airline’s website.

The flights are running only from end-to-end destinations and the entire cost of travel has to be borne by the passenger, including quarantine charges that would be applicable at the time of arrival at the destination.

There is also a certain eligibility criteria that one has to meet in order to fly outside the country. Air India has requested all passengers to go through all the eligibility criteria before deciding to book the flight.

Air India will follow all the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for operating these flights and has already tested all its pilots and crew members for COVID-19.

Who Is Eligible To Fly?

1. Indian and foreign nationals with a valid visa of minimum one year to the country of destination
2. Green Card / OCI Cardholders
3. Health workers holding valid permit for travel to destination country

Under the Vande Bharat Mission, Air India along with its subsidiary, Air India Express, will be operating 64 flight to 12 countries, the first of which include flights from Kochi to Abu Dhabi, Delhi to Singapore and Calicut to Dubai on Thursday.

Through its mission from May 8 to 14, the airline will help stranded people reach their homes.
