Vande Bharat trains in India include 20 eight-car services and 14 sixteen-car services. This brings the count of this train in India to 34. Recently, many new Vande Bharat Expresses have been flagged off at various places in the country. This was launched to improve connectivity between various cities and make travel hassle-free for people.

Indian Railways recently monitored the demand for these trains on the basis of the gender and age of the passengers. As they monitored this, they found something very important and also surprising.

The first finding was that the launch of these trains has caused airfares to drop by 20–30%. It has also been seen that air traffic has also fallen to 10–20%. (As per India.com)

Indian Railways aims to popularise Vande Bharat Express more and more so that occupancy rates increase. According to the latest data for September, the occupancy rates for these trains from Mumbai to Solapur, Mumbai to Shirdi, and Mumbai to Madgaon are somewhere between 77 and 101%.

According to the data released by Northeast Frontier Railway, the train that runs between New Jalpaiguri and Guwahati draws middle-aged people and youths the most.

They prefer to travel via this Vande Bharat Express and reach their destination in five and a half hours rather than going there. About two express trains run every day from the New Jalpaiguri Station.
