Inspired by the Australian cooking show, MasterChef India was first aired in 2010 and is continuing to become one of the most loved shows! The recipes and challenges shown in this show were commendable and a level up from the previous one. And for the good news, MasterChef India is back with season 8! And this time, food influencers are also included in the top 20 contestants—here’s all about it!

MasterChef India has returned for its eighth season, so it’s time to don your chef’s apron once more. Cooking aficionados and home cooks from all over India have returned to their haven as the quest for the next cooking champion of the nation has already begun.

1. Harish Closepet 

This 58-year-old Bangalore entrepreneur is an accomplished chef with a taste for tastes that convey a sense of place. Harish, a former civil engineer, began his culinary career in Singapore, where he improved his techniques by experimenting with Indian food to stave off homesickness.

2. Nambie Jessica S. Marak 

The vibrant 30-year-old from Meghalaya wears many hats with ease but is essentially the owner and principal of Sunbeam Foundation School.

3. Kaushalya Choudhary 

Despite getting married early, Sidhi Marwadi, with 1.3 million subscribers, Kaushalya Choudhary is a well-known YouTube cooking channel thanks to her passion for cooking.

4. Prachi Agarkar 

Despite her academic success in business management and human resources, Prachi discovered true fulfilment in the kitchen.

5. Nidhi Sharma 

This 35-year-old from Solan, Himachal Pradesh, excels on Instagram as a cuisine content maker while juggling a long job at UCO Bank and raising a toddler.

6. Subhojit Sen

Subhojit, a 29-year-old resident of Kolkata, was inspired to take up cooking after he saw street sellers tossing noodles while he was still in school.

7. Dr. Rukhsaar Sayeed

Through her business, Khalis Foods, she produces pure snacks for children using her talent for inventive cooking.

8. Kenneth G

Kenneth, a young aspiring chef from Bangalore who is 18 years old, is the youngest competitor on MasterChef India.

9. Suraj Thapa 

Suraj Thapa, a 28-year-old home baker and BSc graduate from Kolkata discovered his love for cooking in a cramped Siliguri kitchen.

10. Kriti Dhiman

In the fifth grade, Kriti, a 23-year-old home baker from Gobindgarh, fell in love with food because of her father’s Sunday cooking sessions.

11. Mohammed Aashiq

Since his school days, this 24-year-old Mangalore resident has been passionate about food.

12. Sima Ahmed

This 57-year-old pop-up chef from Kolkata has always wanted to compete in MasterChef India. Sima was a reluctant chef at first, but after marriage, she developed a love for the craft.
