According to an article which was recently published by Business Today, the Noida International Airport is very excited about this new partnership. In Wings India 2024, a civil aviation expo, this MoU was signed between NIA and Akasa Air.
This makes Akasa Air the second airline to be NIA’s partner. The first airline to partner with NIA is IndiGo. As per the Business Today article, there is still quite a lot of unfulfilled air traffic demand in northern India and this partnership aims to fill that lacuna.
This partnership will also subsequently boost air traffic in the sector which will also help fulfil a lot of the aviation demand. The article also cited a statement which said that Akasa Air would like to increase its presence at the upcoming airports in India.
