Akshay Kumar’s Instagram fan page, @akshaykumarnews shared a video of the actor at Mahakal Temple in Ujjain. Dressed in saffron dhoti with an saffron shawl, covering his upper body, the actor is seen clapping his hands and participating in the aarti. Akshay Kumar and cricketer Shikhar Dhawan visited the temple for the Bhasma Aarti and sought Lord Mahakal’s blessings.
According to a report by DT Next, Akshay Kumar stated to the media that he prayed for India’s progress and prosperity. Cricketer Shikhar Dhawan stated while he is not part of the World Cup squad, he still wished Team India all the best and wished they’d emerge victorious. The actor earlier visited Lord Mahakal during the shooting of OMG 2, a film that crossed over ₹120 crore at the box office.

In the viral videos, Akshay Kumar is seen sitting with folded hands during the aarti at Mahakaleshawar Temple. His son Aarav was also seen sitting behind him, dressed in a white kurta and white pyjama. Shikhar Dhawan sits in front of them wearing a white kurta. Akshay Kumar’s fans took to the comments section of the fan video, wishing their favourite star on his birthday.
