Our latest Sunday Brunch episode was with ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ actors Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff. Our Editor-In-Chief Kamiya Jani had a gala time filming this video where they talked about their careers, action films and more such interesting topics. We learnt about the Khiladi actor’s early days and how he went from Kolkata to Mumbai. Scroll to know how much was his first paycheck.

This Was Akshay Kumar’s First Paycheck When He Was In Kolkata

We wanted to know about Akshay’s first job and he shared that he used to work in a travel agency that dealt with passport work in Kolkata. He was an errand boy there and it was the only job that he got in the City of Joy. Kamiya further questioned him about his paycheck at this job. 

He told us that this was back in 1984 or 1985 and it was merely ₹150 to ₹200. When Kamiya asked how old he was at his first job, he said that he was only 15 or 16 years old. Upon enquiring further, Akshay told us that he wasn’t educated enough but had the urge to work for a living.

He Tired His Hand At Multiple Jobs

He told us that after working in Kolkata, he moved to Dhaka, Bangladesh. He worked in a hotel named Purbani. Then he moved to Bangkok and then he touched down in dil walo ki Dilli and finally settled in Mumbai with a job selling artificial jewellery. 

He told us that he would buy jewellery in Delhi and sell it in Mumbai with a profit margin. Back then, this Bade Miyan wasn’t aware that he would build a house, career and a family in the city of dreams, Mumbai and have a massive fan following. Looks like he was a pro Khiladi before he secured the title of ‘Khiladi of Bollywood’!
