Good news for all adventure seekers and sports enthusiasts! The Dubai Sports Council and Dubai Municipality have announced the Mushrif Mountain Bike Race, which will take place at 6:00 AM on October 23 at the newly built forest mountain bike course at Mushrif Park in Dubai’s Al Khawaneej neighbourhood. So let’s check out more about this adventurous mountain bike race in Dubai. 

The Mushrif Mountain Bike Race Format 

 

There are four distinct divisions in this race, each covering a different distance: the directors of government departments cover 9 kilometres, the community division covers 18 kilometres, the amateur division covers 37 kilometres, and the professional division covers 56 kilometres. The track was built to increase the thrill of the races by taking the riders through various inclines, descents, and jumps as they weave through the forest.

Designed to the highest international standards and specifications, the mountain bike track at Mushrif Park stretches 50 kilometres across its three stages:

  • A green track of 20 kilometres
  • A blue track of 30 kilometres
  • A red track of 10 kilometres

The time has come for sports enthusiasts to gird their bikes with the Mushrif Mountain Bike Race happening in Dubai. The enormous new track winds through the emirate’s natural beauties while delivering a thrilling experience. It is located in a gorgeous, thick forest with around 70,000 trees. The track loops back to its starting point at the park’s main entrance and features three ‘quick-return’ lanes for those who can’t handle the full round.

There are vast terrains to explore, guaranteeing that each ride brings something new. A green path is easy enough for beginning bikers to navigate. The blue route is more difficult but still manageable for anyone with experience on bicycles or mountain bikes.

How To Participate In The Mushrif Bike Race In Dubai?

You can register for the Mushrif Mountain Bike Race on the Hopa Sport website, and registration will close on October 20. The prize money for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions in the 56km mountain bike category are AED7000, AED5000, and AED3000, respectively.
