Abu Dhabi Maritime Has Announced Free Ferry Service This Week Onwards

Dalma Race Festival has returned to Abu Dhabi for its 6th Edition. And in light to host and sponsor this event, Abu Dhabi Maritime has announced free ferry rides for the stipulated time in the Emirate. The festival will be taking place between April 28th till 5th May 2023. The administration hence informed that during the Dalma Race Festival, ferry transportation between Dalma Island and Jebel Dhanna will be free.
During the festival season, Abu Dhabi Maritime, a division of AD Ports Group, has also begun offering an additional evening service. Through the recently developed online booking platform accessible on www.admaritime.ae, all visitors and locals will be able to check times and reserve their tickets without charge.
Throughout the festival, Dalma Island/Jebel Dhanna ferry passengers will be able to ride for free either way. The festival season will also include a second evening service so that locals and guests can continue to enjoy celebrations.

A 60-foot conventional dhow race over 80 nautical miles (125 km) will take place during the 18-day Dalma Race Festival. It is sponsored by Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region. More than 3,000 sailors will compete in the race. For guests, mainly families, a variety of celebrations will be held. Through the recently developed online booking site, visitors and locals alike will be able to check times and reserve their tickets without paying a dime.
