On Thursday, a tipper dumper rammed into a bus carrying Amarnath Yatra pilgrims. The incident took place at Badragund crossing on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in Qazigund. Officials revealed to PTI that a batch comprising 5,449 pilgrims left for the twin base camps of Nunwan-Pahalgam and Baltal in the early hours, on Thursday. The pilgrims left in a convoy of 201 vehicles. Earlier, sources informed that over 20 passengers suffered injuries from the bus accident at Badragund crossing. Police initiated immediate action and the injured were shifted to a hospital in Anantnag for treatment. But a new report reveals that 15 passengers have died in the accident while 45 are injured.
