We all have a best friend. Some find it in a human, while others find it in a soft toy. For kids, their dolls or other soft toys are their best friends, and losing them can make them a bit cranky or sad. Well, something similar happened with a nine-year-old kid, Valentina Dominguez. She thought she lost her best friend after her doll went missing, but an American Airlines pilot got it back to her.
American Airlines Pilot Reunited 9-YO Girl With Her Doll
Rudy and Celeste Dominguez discovered their daughter Valentina was missing her doll, Beatrice, when they arrived back in the US from their trip to Bali, Indonesia. In Tokyo, where the family’s trip had a layover, the doll was last seen on a flight.
They looked for the doll in each suitcase they had, Rudy told WFAA. The family then hurriedly called the airport and airlines to try and locate the doll after their efforts proved fruitless.
Later, when the family posted about the doll on social media, American Airlines pilot James Danen noticed it and decided to help her.
The doll was located after Danen phoned Turkish Airlines’ lost-and-found office at Tokyo’s Haneda Airport. Later, he even drove the doll himself across the world to deliver it to Valentina.

Kindness Still Exists
American airlines pilot Danen explained to WFAA that he naturally enjoys assisting others. He was happy to be able to help someone out in this way, and he was doing it for them.
But the story doesn’t end there. Along with the doll, Danen gave Valentina some Japanese treats and a map that indicated all the places he had taken the doll with him.
Valentina told Good Morning America that her doll Beatrice meant a lot to her. She said that her doll is her best friend and brings her happiness. Valentina felt very bad, as if her heart was broken, when Beatrice went missing.
Rudy Dominguez called the pilot a very kind person. He said that he instilled his faith in the fact that there is kindness in the world. He was glad that the pilot promised it and also followed through. (As per Hindustan Times)
