Amid Israel-Hamas War, Air India Announces Waiver For Tel Aviv Flights For Certain Dates

The Israeli-Palestinian conflict has been a longstanding and complex issue. In recent years, tensions have continued to simmer, with periodic outbreaks of violence and clashes. Currently, the country of Israel is at war again. Numerous flights are cancelled operating to and from Tel Aviv.  Hence, Air India announced on Tuesday a one-time fee waiver for rescheduling or cancelling confirmed tickets on flights to and from Tel Aviv for a limited duration.

Air India Announces One-Time Waiver

On October 7, Air India cancelled their flight from Delhi to Tel Aviv on October 7. The full-service airline offers five flights each week to Tel Aviv, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Today on Tuesday, the carrier announced a one-time remission on charges for rescheduling or cancelling confirmed tickets for flights to and from Tel Aviv on social media platform X. The promotion is available on tickets purchased before October 9th for travel until October 31, 2023.

The time difference between Delhi and Tel Aviv is around 02:30 hours. Flights from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City to Israel were also cancelled by both American Airlines and Delta Air Lines on Saturday and Sunday, according to FlightAware data.
