Are you fully vaccinated? Then you won’t need to carry a negative RT-PCR test report anymore for entry to the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. According to the order issued by the union territory, fully vaccinated travellers entering Andaman now will have to show their certificates of full vaccination at the origin airport or seaport and at Port Blair. Unvaccinated and partially vaccinated travellers will need to undergo an RT-PCR test within 48 hours before departure.

What Are The Travel Rules In Andaman & Nicobar Islands For Fully Vaccinated Travellers?

  • Fully Vaccinated travellers can enter the UT without any COVID-19 test report.
  • They will have to carry their certificates of full vaccination to be displayed at the origin points and Port Blair.
  • Kids below 5 years who are asymptomatic do not need to carry RT-PCR reports and they do not need to undergo tests at the Port Blair airport.

The authority has come to the decision of issuing the travel relaxations citing the dip in the number of COVID-19 cases. The steps will also help the UT in reviving the tourism sector, which was hit hard by the pandemic.
