Andhra Pradesh Tourist Bus Falls In A Gorge At Vanjangi Hills; Passengers Face Minor Injuries

A tourist bus carrying about 15 passengers from Visakhapatnam faced an accident as the vehicle fell into a gorge. The accident took place on the morning of 9 October (Sunday) in Vanjangi Hills in the Alluri Sitarama Raju district of Andhra Pradesh. Reports are stating that the reason behind this accident is the tourist bus facing brake failure on the ghat road. Continue reading for all the details of this sudden unfortunate incident.

While travelling from Visakhapatnam, the tourist bus carrying about 15 passengers lost control because of a brake failure which led to rushing into the valley and overturning. The accident was very unfortunate and completely out of hand but the news of relief is that the passengers are safe and did not face or suffer any major injuries or bruises. 14 tourists suffered some minor injuries and only 1 faced a fracture. They were taken to the Paderu Hospital right after, shared by the Paderu Police Station Sub-Inspector Lakshmana Rao.

According to a report of The Hans India, the tourist bus was taking the passengers to Vanjangi Hills. They were travelling there after exploring Araku Valley and Borra caves. They had plans to stay overnight there and explore Vanjangi’s cloud hill on Monday morning. Very early in the morning is the most perfect time to witness the beauty of this place.

People May Face Legal Actions If They Do Not Follow These Rules!

The area was inspected by District Collector Sumeet Kumar and SP Satish Kumar. Sumeet Kumar made it mandatory to ban all cars and all kinds of vehicles from 5:00 pm to the morning. One can only travel at this aforementioned time with special permission from the police. Anyone not following this mandate will have to face legal action. They will also take action against everyone not following these rules such as drinking and driving and not maintaining the time of banning transportation in this area. This area is now known as accident-prone and officials are taking many steps to avoid these accidents.
