Here are five of the most creative and mesmerising Ganesha pandals you need to see this year.

1. Ganesha Idol Crafted from 1 Lakh Sarees In Gajuwaka


Unveiled recently in Gajuwaka, Andhra Pradesh, this stunning idol of Ganpati Bappa is made from 1 lakh sarees. Yes, you read that right! The appearance is truly beautiful, and the idea is both creative and eco-friendly. This is the first time in the history of Ganesh Chaturthi that such an idol has been made, making it one of the most remarkable highlights of the year.

2. Vighnarta Kohinoorcha’s Dancing Ganesha

Breaking away from the traditional seated pose, this idol in Mumbai shows Lord Ganesha in a classical dancing posture. Dressed in a light blue dhoti-kurta with a cloth tied around his head, the idol radiates a spiritual aura. This pandal is a true work of art that stands out for its creativity.

3. Operation Sindoor Ganesha


In Uppuguda, Hyderabad, Ganesh Chaturthi has taken a patriotic turn. An Operation Sindoor-themed idol has been dedicated to the Indian armed forces. Crafted from clay by local artisans over two months, the idol represents the courage and sacrifice of soldiers while also honouring India.

4. Simha Ganpati Avatar At Warsiguda

Another unique pandal in Warsiguda, Hyderabad, showcases Lord Ganesha in his Simha (lion) avatar. This form symbolises power and bravery. Moreover, the idol, painted in dark hues with contrasting ornaments, has a fierce, warrior-like appearance that captures attention instantly.

5. Khairatabad’s 69-Foot-Tall Bada Ganesh

Standing tall at 70 feet, Hyderabad’s Khairatabad Bada Ganesh is one of the grandest idols of the year. With multiple heads and a towering presence, it took 125 artisans 84 days to complete. Moreover, the idol was built using 1,000 bags of clay, 30 tonnes of steel and 50 cartloads of paddy. Made entirely of eco-friendly materials and natural colours, this massive Ganesh idol is a breathtaking sight and will be safely immersed after the festival.
