Anupam Kher On His Love Story With Kirron Kher

Anupam Kher opened up about his lovely marriage to actor Kirron Kher in this exclusive interview with Kamiya. Kamiya showed him a black-and-white picture of the actor’s marriage ceremony. Anupam’s father, mother and brother were also in the picture.

He instantly replied with a beaming smile, “Ah, this photo is from the 26th of August, 1985. This is a picture from my marriage ceremony.” Anupam Ji revealed that they got married in an ashram in Gurugram. He recalled travelling to Gurugram from Pune to tie the knot with the love of his life. He arrived only a day prior to this auspicious and special event, as he was shooting for a film in Pune.

Reflecting on their sweet love story and how their friendship blossomed into love, the actor said, “We were best of friends for 10 years before that. She was married and I was ditched by a girl of three years of relationship with her. Kiran was going through a tough time with her marriage. Then, how that friendship turned into a love and love turned into marriage, yeah, that’s a story!”

After their marriage, Anupam ji adopted Kirron’s son, Sikandar Kher, from her first marriage. It’s been 39 years since they have been together and still keep falling in love with each other. Oh, a true Bollywood fairytale romance!
