Anushka Sen Reveals “Delicious” & “Handsome” Sound Similar In Korean

While slurping hot and spicy Korean Ramen with us at DFC Korean Point, we asked Anushka Sen to teach us a few Korean words. We asked her how fluent she was in Korean. “I’m fluent. I’m good,” she replied. But when we asked her to say “This ramen is very tasty” in Korean, Anushka admitted to not knowing how to speak sentences in the language.

However, she did know how to exclaim commonly used reactions. Anushka Sen revealed that the Korean translations for “delicious” and “handsome” sound similar, leaving us chuckling in amusement. “Meosissneun” means handsome while “masissneun” means delicious. And “eumsigeul meogda” translates to “have good food.” It’s a commonly used phrase before you start eating a meal. We were impressed by Anushka Sen’s grasp of the Korean accent. To this, she humbly replied, “Kamsahamnida” or thank you.
