The man was reportedly drunk and was caught by his fellow passenger in this offensive act. Upon being reported, the Australian Federal Police removed the man from the flight and have now fined him 600 AUD for his unruly behaviour.
Drunk Passenger Urinates In A Cup On A Flight From New Zealand To Australia
A 53-year-old Australian man was reported caught urinating in a cup while travelling from New Zealand to Australia. He was so drunk that he even spilled the urine from the cup on the attendant when they tried to escort him out of the plane. This incident took place in December 2023 on an Air New Zealand flight and he has now been fined 600 AUD for his behaviour.
While the airline has not commented on the entire incident, they were reportedly quick to take the man with the help of the Australian Federal Police. Air New Zealand, reportedly, has a strict stance on disruptive behaviour. They are known to ban 5-10 passengers each month due to bad conduct on board!

Co-Passenger Recounts The Horrifying Experience
According to the New Zealand news website that brought the whole matter into the spotlight, it was a passenger named Holly who alerted the Air New Zealand crew of the incident. Holly and her 15-year-old daughter were seated in the same row as the man. According to her, the aeroplane was on the tarmac for approximately 20 minutes and waiting for a terminal gate assignment. While waiting, she and her daughter heard the man urinating in the cup while still seated in his seat.
She recounted that the Australian man was “obviously quite drunk.” She alerted the Air New Zealand crew about this. They took the man off the flight with the help of the police.
