Australian PM Anthony Albanese Visited Little India & Tried Delicious Food!

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on Friday sampled Indian street food including chaat and jalebi at the Little India neighbourhood in Harris Park. This was suggested by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit here last month.

In a video shared by the Australian Prime Minister, he stated that he visited ‘Little India’ in Harris Park with Andrew Charlton. And on PM Modi’s recommendation, he tried chaat at Chatkazz and jalebi at Jaipur Sweets.

The local MP Andrew Charlton and PM Anthony can be seen in the video trying various Indian delicacies together. Your taste buds will undoubtedly be drooling after eating.

PM Modi Reacts To The Video

PM Modi, who just finished his state visit to the US and is currently travelling to Egypt, responded to the video shortly after it was shared online. He remarked that the visit sounds like a special Friday night, savouring the best of Indian culture and culinary diversity. He further confirmed it as a successful one, much like the friendship between Australia and India.

He had spoken at a community event in Sydney during his trip to Australia last month. He stated that he has heard that Chatkazz ‘Chaat’ and ‘Jalebi’ from Jaipur Sweets at Harris Park are very delicious. Further, he wanted them all to go there with his friend, the Australian Prime Minister.

In case you missed it, PM Narendra Modi spoke to the Indian community on May 23 in Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena. In his speech, he claimed that “Masterchef and cricket” unite Australia and India. He continued by saying that both concepts have improved the relationship between the two nations.
