The career transition of Ayushmann Khurrana is very inspiring and motivating, especially for all the artists out there. He started his career as a Radio Jockey, then shifted to become a Video Jockey on MTV, and now he’s one of the most successful and loved actors in the Hindi film industry. Ayushmann talked about his career transition in an exclusive interview ‘Sunday Brunch With Kamiya Jani’ by Curly Tales.

I Always wanted To Be An Actor: Ayushmann Khurrana
Speaking about his journey from the non-fiction world oF Radio and anchoring to the world of fiction in cinemas, he shared, “I like being part of radio station also and VJ-ing also. Those are the stepping stones toward this but I always wanted to be an actor. This is my favourite phase.”
Ayushman Khurana speaks about the importance of financial security and stability for an artist. He also emphasised how the thoughts of money management can interfere with the flow of your creative juices. In his super successful Bollywood career, there was a time when Ayushman Khurana had to face 3 back to back floors right after his debut film ‘Vicky Donor’.
While talking about the financial stability during that time, he shared, “Even after like three flops after my first film, I started my band immediately. Jaise hi meri picture flop ho gayi, next din maine phone karke suru kiye musicians ko. I started calling musicians are soon as my picture started flopping. I collected a bunch of musicians from Coke studio. Ek band banaya, 15 gaane ready kiye. Made up and prepared 15 songs and I was ready for the gig. So we started performing. I was like I can do this because I’d love doing it.”

I Still Perform At Weddings And It’s Fine, Says Ayushmann
When asked if he still feels insecure thinking about if he doesn’t get film opportunities a few years down the line, Ayushmann brilliantly replied back with the importance of every work in his life. “Nahi! Koi bhi kaam chhota nahi hota. Abhi bhi main shaadion mein perform karta hu. No work is meager for me. I still perform at weddings and it’s fine.”
