With misty valleys, crystal clear lakes, gushing waterfalls, ravines, and much more, Shillong is a true gem in the lush green Khasi hills. The city offers some of the most thrilling hikes through the mesmerising pine forests and bridges. While Shillong is a popular name among mountain lovers, a lot of it is yet untouched and unexplored. I Get References For Acting From The Locals: Ayushmann Khurrana
Ayushmann Khurrana’s movie Anek was filmed in the northeastern region of India. Speaking about the shoot, Ayushmann said, “In the northeast, we shot in Kaziranga, Assam and Meghalaya, mostly Shillong.” When the actor was asked if he is the kind of actor who would take time out of his work to meet the locals, he said, “That is only my job. My main job is to meet the locals. Acting comes after that. I get the references from them only. Unless you become one with that place.. Jab tak aap ek nehi ho jayenge anek mein.. tab tak wo maza nehi ayega. So, the main part of acting is catching the language.”
“I am always inquisitive. I need to know about the person, from where he is, till how long he has been there, what he eats.. So, I will become very personal with that person. We shot in Shillong, the Scotland of the East. It’s beautiful. Aap ko lagega hi nehi aap India mein shoot kar rahe ho. It’s so unexplored”, added Ayushmann.
