Telugu star Prabhas, popularly known for the movie Bahubali, has stepped up to adopt 1650 acres of Khazipally Reserve Forest near Hyderabad. The actor has also given a whopping ₹2 crore to the forest officials for developing the reserve. It will now have an eco-park with see-through walls. Apparently, the actor has always been a nature lover and has adopted the forest in memory of his late father, U V S Raju. Read on to know more.
Prabhas Hands Over 2 Crore For Developing Kazipally Reserve Forest
Prabhas has taken an initiative of adopting 1,650 acres of Kazipally Reserve Forest near Hyderabad. According to reports, he has already handed over ₹2 crores to the forest officials for developing the reserve. The Bahubali star also reportedly said he will donate more amounts, depending on how the work goes. The actor took to Twitter and other social media platforms to announce his initiative:

Prabhas, along with Telangana Forest Minister Allola Indra Karan Reddy and Rajya Sabha MP Joginapally Santosh Kumar laid the foundation for the same. They also planted a few saplings in the area, and observed the forest from a temporary watchtower. Apparently, this initiative by Prabhas is a part of the Green India Challenge, which was launched by Kumar. Meanwhile, 600 acres of Aarey forest in Mumbai will now be converted into a reserved forest.

Kazipally Reserve Forest To Have Eco-Park With See Through Wall
The Kazipally Reserve Forest sits on the outskirts of Hyderabad. It apparently has quite a few medicinal plants. According to news agency IANS, the Forest Department will now turn a small part of the forest into an urban park. Prabhas will also name it after his father, the late producer Uppalapati Surya Narayana Raju. The rest of it will be a conservation zone. Also, forest department officials will fence the entire area sprawling over 1,650 acres, and start with the development of an eco-park. In its first phase, the park will have a gate, see-through wall, walking track, viewpoint, gazebo and medicinal plant centre.
