on Bangalore is all set to debut India’s first socially distanced drive-in theatre on July 3. The exclusive event planner, SteppinOut Movie Nights – Drive In Edition offers Bangaloreans a first of its kind drive-in cinema experience. With contactless dining, safety precaution and zero human touchpoints, cinema-goers can enjoy a classic 60s feel movie experience from the safety of their own cars. However, this is a limited entry event with an allowance for only 17 cars per show. So if you’re interested, make your bookings ASAP. Just remember, if Germany can have a drive-in Disco, then Bangalore can surely have a socially distanced drive-in theatre.   This is just the trailer. And to find the perfect old fashioned solution for moviegoers amid COVID-19 in Bangalore, SteppinOut welcomes India’s first socially distanced drive-in movie theatre in Bangalore. Channelling The Garden City’s 60’s vibes the Drive-In edition of Movie Nights promises people with a fun socially distanced movie experience amid the coronavirus outbreak. Bangalore also had the first church in Asia to organise a drive-in mass amid coronavirus pandemic. 

Starts From July 3 From 6PM to 9PM

The event promo video describes this to be the country’s first socially distanced drive-in theatre. They promise to offer a zero contact experience with contactless dining, no human touchpoints and all the necessary precautions taken to ensure safety. So this means you can relax and enjoy within the comfort of your own vehicles. They’ve announced a screening of shows every weekend starting from July 3 (with shows on July 4 and 5 ).

Only 17 Cars Allowed Per Show With Only 4 People In Each Car

The shows will screen from 6 pm to 9 pm at Timbre situated just 2 minutes from Kempegowda International in Bangalore. This is a limited entry event. And only 17 cars are permitted per show. The tickets are priced at 1,199 per car. And a maximum of only 4 people are allowed per car. Face masks must be worn except when you sit in your own car during the movie-watching experience. And if India has the first drive-in theatre in Bangalore, then it also has the first drive-in beach.

Films Screened In Its First Weekend

SteppinOut already put out polls on social media so people can choose the movies for screening during the weekend.  For the opening day on July 3, English Vinglish will screen, after beating popular Bollywood movies like Go Goa Gone and Love Aaj Kal. For the show on July 4, the Steven Spielberg classic, ET will be shown. This film beat other classics like Grease and Alien. Horror movie fans! You can mark your calendars for July 5 as the Hollywood Horror film Conjuring 2 will screen after beating popular Hollywood horror films like Texas Chainsaw Massacre and IT.  So make your weekend plans already and enjoy this first of its kind movie theatre experience in India!
