Bangaloreans Can Soon Visit Bars & Enjoy A Film In Movie Theatres This September

Bangaloreans! If all goes well, there’s a high chance you might be able to visit bars and even enjoy a film in cinema halls this September. The Karnataka government hopes for a positive stance in the upcoming Unlock 4.0 as it gears up to reopen movie halls and permit bars and restaurants to serve liquor. So the day isn’t very far away where you can chill with your loved ones at Bob’s Bar and catch a film at the iconic Urvashi Theatre. Interestingly, Bangalore canals will soon get walking and cycling tracks like Amsterdam. 

Karnataka Might Reopen Cinema Halls & Bars In September

The Karnataka government awaits Centre’s new guidelines for Unlock 4.0 which begins from September 1. The state hopes for much-awaited developments specifically concerning the reopening of cinema halls. And also hopes that restaurants and bars can also start serving liquor. Both of these were halted when the lockdown commenced in March. Excise Minister, H Nagesh stated to TOI “We will approach the government to give us conditional permission to open over 5,000 establishments – bars, pubs and clubs – across the state from September 1. We need the Union government to relax norms.’’

Inter-State Buses & Metro May Also Resume Services In September

States like Haryana and Delhi recently permitted bar and restaurants to serve liquor with necessary measures in place. Similarly, Karnataka authorities are also hopeful to get a nod for September. Meanwhile, other reports state that the Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa is keen to reopen cinema halls including those in malls from September.

But this depends on the government’s guidelines for Unlock 4.0. Inter-state buses and metro shall resume next month. And with this cinema halls also might reopen soon. So, Bangaloreans, maybe the day isn’t very far away where you can enjoy a drink in your favourite bar. And then venture for a movie with your loved ones. Looks like we’re getting back to normal soon.
