As Oscar Wilde says, “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery”, and looks like Dolly has found a fan in Bangladesh. Read on to learn all about a Bangladeshi street vendor who serves Jhal Muri (puffed rice) in Dolly Chaiwala style!

Bangladesh Its Own Dolly Chaiwala! Street Vendor Serves Jhal Muri

In a reel posted by vlogger @original_food01 on Instagram, a street food vendor in Bangladesh is seen preparing Jhal Muri in a unique manner. Sporting a pair of black low-waist jeans, a red striped shirt, a thick mane of hair and sunglasses, he resembles Nagpur’s Dolly Chaiwala. With a skip in his step, he scoops copious amounts of puffed rice from a paint bucket, which he has repurposed and serves them on paper plates. The fashion-forward Bangladeshi street vendor takes orders and disposes of used plates. He is also seen theatrically adding chutneys to the puffed rice and mixing all the ingredients to prepare Jhal Muri. In the caption, @original_food01 calls him Dolly-style Celebrity Jhalmuri Wala of Bangladesh.

Netizens Worried About Lack Of Hygiene At Stall

Netizens had mixed reactions to this Jhal Muri video. While some felt the resemblance to Dolly Chaiwala was uncanny, others criticised the street food stall for its lack of cleanliness. @lambitieux_kabore commented that the vendors don’t don’t wash used plates. They simply wipe them clean and serve them to customers. Many others joked about the Bangladeshi vendor having “main character energy”. Another joked about him being up to something.
