How much coffee is too much coffee? Pat comes the reply from Bengalureans, “There is no such thing as too much coffee.” One of India’s most cherished coffee QSR brands, Third Wave Coffee, has revealed its ‘2024 Coffee Notes’, a report that highlights India’s coffee and food choices last year. No prizes for guessing! Bengaluru has emerged as the coffee capital of 2024 with 2.5 million specialty brew orders.
Bengaluru Is India’s Coffee Capital Of 2024 With 2.5 M Coffee Orders
In 2024, Third Wave Coffee served 7.1 million cups of coffee across the nation. If stacked up, those many coffee cups would make a tower that’s 4 times taller than Mt. Everest. It’s a true testament to India’s love for coffee, despite being a chai-loving nation. The brand served 5.4 million customers last year in cafes across India which equates to the entire population of Singapore.
With Bengaluru, emerging as the coffee capital of India with 2.5 million cups of specialty brews, Delhi wasn’t too far behind. With 2 million cups of coffee served, proves the capital is filled with coffee lovers. The festive spirit particularly Christmas Day was the busiest day for the brand.
Coffee Most Ordered On Sundays
And what were people’s favourite orders last year? Cappuccino, Classic Cold Coffee and Mocha Choco Chip emerged as 2024’s most loved beverages at Third Wave Coffee. Morning routines were dominated by the classics— Cappuccinos and Americanos. Frappe was preferred by customers in the evenings. Interestingly, Sundays stood out as India’s favourite coffee day which was perfect for unwinding with a cup of joe.
During the monsoon, Choco Malt Frappe and Pistachio Latte/Frappe were preferred. Hot Chocolate was the drink of the winter season apart from Cappuccino and Americano. When it came to food preferences, Banana Walnut Cake, Chocolate Croissant and Baked Chilli Toast were ordered items with coffee. Going region-specific, Bagels led Hyderabad, Mumbai and Delhi while Pancakes graced breakfast tables in Bangalore.
With specialty brews and bites spreading their aroma across India in 2024, Third Wave Coffee looks to expand its presence in India by making specialty coffee more accessible.
