Bengaluru Metro, better known as Namma Metro, has brought ease into the lives of its citizens with its services and lines. The Karnataka government is now considering adding more towns to its connectivity line. They have also zeroed in on four outlying towns for the same reason. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, and Congress MLAs from Bengaluru Rural met to discuss this issue.
Bengaluru Metro Expansion Plans
Doddaballapur, Nelamangala, Devanahalli, and Hoskote are the four outlying towns of Bengaluru that the Karnataka government is considering adding to the Namma Metro service.
MLAs from the Kodagu, Hassan, Mandya, Bengaluru Rural, Chikkaballapura, Davanagere, and Chamarajanagar regions were invited to a separate meeting.
According to an MLA who was present at the meeting of the Bengaluru Rural Legislators, they suggested extending the metro to these four towns in order to improve connectivity with Bengaluru city.
Another MLA noted that this would not only encourage growth in these areas but also improve Bengaluru’s traffic problems.
According to the Times of India, Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar reminded the participants that stages 2A and 2B of the Metro project will connect Bengaluru’s suburbs, including the Kempegowda International Airport. (As per Swarajya)

With the expansion of the Namma Metro, issues with unruly passenger behavior and boarding have increased particularly during peak hours. Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (BMRCL), which is aware of these problems, presented a “special operation program” aimed at clearing up uncertainty and enhancing station management.
In response, BMRCL has started an awareness campaign as part of the special operating program at all stations with the goal of promoting correct queuing, boarding, and deboarding procedure compliance.
A team of Home Guards has begun teaching passengers and raising awareness for hassle-free travel as part of a Special Operation initiative at all stations, according to a BMRCL notice. To prevent disturbing other passengers with loud music, use headphones when listening to music or watching videos on a mobile device. The cooperation of the passengers is requested.
