Bengaluru Road Rage: Biker Harasses Couple, Breaks Windshield; Couple Seen Pleading For Help As They Had A Baby On Board

In a video that took the Internet by storm, a furious biker on Bengaluru’s Sarjapur road was seen harassing a couple inside a car and even breaking the glass of their car. What’s even scary is that the couple was pleading with him to let them go as they had a baby with them in the car. The enraged biker, however, paid no heed to them and went on to break the car’s wiper and its windshield, traumatising the couple and their baby.

Biker Harasses Couple On Sarjapur Road; Breaks Car’s Windshield

On the night of August 19, a furious biker was captured in a video screaming at a couple inside a car while breaking its windscreen in the middle of a Bengaluru road. In this case of road rage in Bengaluru, the enraged biker continued to attack the car even as the couple screamed that they had a baby with them. The video was shared on Citizens Movement, East Bengaluru’s X (formerly Twitter) page. They tagged Bengaluru police in the post and added the caption, “What’s happening on Sarjapur Road? A family in the car is being attacked by bike-borne assailants! Please help!”

As per the post, this road rage incident took place at 10:30 PM near Doddakannelli on Sarjapur Road, Bengaluru on Monday. As per an NDTV report, the biker was furious after the car took a left turn without any indicator. While riding his bike, he reportedly crashed into that family’s car when they applied the brakes in front of him. He got aggressive after that and was seen banging on the driver’s side of the car asking him why he applied the brakes suddenly.

In the video, when the couple tried to tell him to calm down and that they had a little baby on board, he paid no heed to them. He, instead, went in front of the car, banged its bonnet a few times and then broke its wiper. After that, he broke the car’s windshield with the wiper. The lady, along with the baby were heard screaming due to the sudden turn of events.

The biker was, reportedly, drunk and was arrested for this incident. He was a bouncer at a pub in Koramangala pub. He will be facing charges of attempted murder for this incident.

Growing Cases Of Road Rage In Bengaluru

In the last few weeks, several road rage cases have been reported in Bengaluru. On August 8, a man named Jitin Raj was harassed by a biker near Indira Nagar. He posted about the incident on social media. He explained that the biker chased, blocked his car, and started verbally abusing him.

Jitin did not react much to the whole incident. However, he made sure to record it on the dash camera of his car. He then called 112 for Bengaluru police. When the police arrived in a few minutes, he showed them the footage recorded on the dash camera. The police apprehended the miscreant in this road rage case in Bengaluru and made him apologise to Jitin.

These are just a few of the many cases of road rage that are taking place in Bengaluru. It is best for the car drivers to always stay alert. They should avoid getting in any verbal or physical spat with the miscreants. Make sure you immediately get in touch with the police and inform them about the incident and let them take the rightful action.
