In a shocking video that has been shared on social media, a road rage incident was captured on camera in Bengaluru. The incident took place on Sarjapur Road. The video shows a biker trying to overtake a car but when he fails to do so, he smashes the window of the car with his helmet. The driver of the car, in a series of posts, has shared the details of the incident.

Bengaluru Road Rage Incident: Biker Smashes Car Window

The incident took place on Friday, May 17 as per a post made by the car driver, Akhil Sabu, on X (formerly known as Twitter). Sabu and his family – wife and two and half year-old daughter – were heading towards Motherhood Hospital from Kodathi Gate.

A Honda Activa tried to overtake them but couldn’t owing to the poor road conditions as per Sabu. Following this, the biker hit the window smashing the window of the car. Sabu states that his wife and child were in the backseat and could have been severely injured.

The helmet, too, fell on the backseat. Sabu then got out of the car and the two got into a physical altercation. Sabu also filed an FIR at the nearest police station. CCTV footage was also recently shared as proof of the incident.

Family Of The Car Driver Was Still Inside When Window Was Smashed

As per Sabu’s posts, the attacker is a law student who is 35 years old. He also shared another CCTV footage which shows the car window smashed and the pieces of glass scattered on the floor of the car.

According to an article which was recently published by the Hindustan Times or HT, Sarjapur Road has seen a rise in road rage incidents. The Bengaluru Police have also warned against them and have asked motorists to dial 112 in case of emergencies.

Many people in the comments section said that such incidents used to happen at night but it’s scarier that they’re now taking place in broad daylight.
