On October 10, Kolkata witnessed a celebration like never before. Ahead of Durga Puja festival, the West Bengal government organised grand Mahalaya celebrations at the iconic cricket stadium, Eden Gardens. According to India.com report, for this mega event, over 3,000 drones took to the sky, creating magnificent images that made it difficult to look away for fear of missing an iconic moment. The drone show was also part of an ambitious attempt to set a world record.
In several videos going viral online, dancers can be seen putting on powerful performances, while 3,000 dhakis came together to set a Guinness World Record. Over 40,000 people arrived at the stadium to witness this historic moment. What made the event even more breathtaking was the display of firecrackers that lit up the sky.
